Father Maurice J Nutt, C.Ss.R., D.Min.

Father Nutt is a Redemptorist priest currently serving as Director of the Institute for Black Catholic Studies at Xavier University ofLouisiana in New Orleans, where he teaches courses in theology and preaching. He is a native of St. Louis, MO, professed vows in the Redemptorist Congregation in 1983 and was ordained a priest in 1989. Fr. Nutt has served as a pastor in St. Louis and in Memphis and has spent many years as a preaching evangelist, conducting parish missions, revivals and retreats all around the country. His joyful, energetic, "Bible-fed and Spirit-led" preaching continues to inspire people hungry for the Word of God and eager to deepen their commitment to Jesus Christ.
