Bulletin - March 4, 2018

A Word from Father Mullin

Today’s proper Responsorial Psalm (Ps. 19) affirms:

Lord, you have the words of everlasting life!

If you really believe that the Lord does have the words of everlasting life, why not spend a little more time during the remaining four weeks of Lent praying with the Word of God provided in the Sacred Scriptures?

I recommend that you commit to reading and reflecting upon the Gospel of Mark (it’s only 16 chapters!), one short passage each day, between now and Easter. You may note that on Palm Sunday this year we will be reading the Passion Narrative from the Gospel of Mark, too. Read, pray and live the words of everlasting life!

Fr. Tom Mullin

2017-2018 Theme: Our theme for this year is Family Prayer. Each month families will pray and go deeper into the meaning of a Catholic prayer. In March we are praying the Act of Contrition:

My God, I am sorry for my sins with all my heart. In choosing to do wrong and failing to do good, I have sinned against you whom I should love above all things. I firmly intend, with your help, to do penance, to sin no more, and to avoid whatever leads me to sin. Our Savior, Jesus Christ, suffered and died for us. In his name, my God, have mercy.
