A Word from Father Mullin

Christ is risen, Alleluia! He is risen indeed, Alleluia!

Today’s first reading, drawn from chapter 6 of the Acts of the Apostles, recounts the call of the first deacons in service to the steadily growing early Christian community.

This provides a fitting occasion to express a public word of thanks and gratitude to the two permanent deacons serving here at Saint Elizabeth: Deacon James McAvoy and Deacon Barry Midwood. May God continue to bless their diaconal ministry among us!

I also encourage you to remember in prayer the three parishioners who are in formation for ordination to the permanent diaconate: Jonathan Hess, Kevin Mead and Timothy Murphy. May the Spirit continue to guide them in the spiritual journey to ordination, too!

Fr. Tom Mullin
