Men’s Weekend Retreat at Malvern Retreat House

The annual Nativity BVM Retreat, a traditional retreat for men, will take place at the Malvern Retreat House on the weekend of September 8-10. This is an ideal way to wind down summer, kick off fall and get closer to yourself and to God. The theme for the weekend is Finding Peace, Healing and Hope in Today’s World. The retreat director for the weekend is Fr. Charles Zlock, pastor of St. Raymond of Penafort Parish in Mt. Airy and will feature conversations with Kevin Reilly, former Eagles and Wildcats standout, and three-time Grammy award nominee Marty Rotella. Fall Bereavement Support Group

The loss of a loved one can be an overwhelming emotional experience.  Grief is a journey that can be difficult to manage alone, but there is hope and healing in sharing your journey with others. If you are looking for a safe and compassionate place to share your grief, please join us for our 5-week program on Wednesday evenings at Saint Joseph Church in Downingtown, starting September 13, at 7:30 PM in the St. John Neumann Room (off the church narthex).  Registration is not required but is requested so that we can be sure of having sufficient materials available.  Please see the parish website (stjosephrc.org/bereavement-group).

Marriage Encounter Weekend

8th Annual Padre Pio Festival

Saint Bede the Venerable Church in Holland, PA welcomes all to a festival to honor St. Pio of Pietrelcina, better known as Padre Pio, on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 16 and 17. The two-day event begins with Saturday’s All-American Picnic Buffet (tickets will be sold at the event). The highlight will be a 5:30 PM Vigil Mass, followed by blessings with holy relics of Padre Pio. The Sunday 12:30 PM Solemn Mass will be celebrated by Archbishop Nelson Perez. The Mass is followed by a street procession, healing service with confessions and veneration of holy relics. Both days there will be specialty food and craft vendors, amusements for children, and live musical entertainment. Plenty of free parking will be available, and pilgrim buses are welcome. Hallahan Catholic Girls High School 50th Class Reunion

There will be a 50th Class Reunion for graduates of John W. Hallahan High School on October 14-15, 2023. Candlelight Remembrance at All Souls Cemetery

All Souls Cemetery in Coatesville will hold a Candlelight Remembrance on Monday, November 13, at 6:00 PM on the cemetery grounds. Rain date is November 20. The service will include luminaries in honor of our loved ones during All Souls Month. The service will be led by Fr. Fitzpatrick from St. Peter Parish, with refreshments and live music from the Bishop Shanahan High School chorus.
